I'm here to talk about our literacy class. Yes, I know I could talk to you in person. But seriously, it's the 21st century. You can't blame me because everyone is lazy, besides there is a reason we have internet.
Okay back to the topic. In literacy we started studying morphemes and vocabulary. Good news parents--your kids think too deep. And when I say that I mean really deep, especially that kid named Joshua Tibbitts. Just kidding. But our class does think deep. How do we do this? Well, I'll explain. Ms. Bad read us a book and explained how you can think on different levels of difficulty (Bloom's Taxonomy). She asked us to think of questions on level one (remembering). Those are questions that are actual facts from the text that you can recall easily. Let's just say we are not kindergarteners. None of us could easily ask a level 1 question because we were thinking too deep!
Oh and while we have been learning and improving we have also had the chance to help other kids learn. We have gotten reading buddies from Mrs. Gonzalez's 3rd grade class and I'm pretty sure half of us have already made secret handshakes.
What do you think about our literacy class and how do you think we as a class can improve?
